Jermaine Jenas our ambassador for the Paris to Nottingham Ride
In conjunction with Clifton All Whites we welcome you to our new site ‘Kismet’ ( the Turkish word for Hope/Destiny) which has been created to log the progress of our bike ride next year along with giving you information about why we are doing the ride and which charities we are supporting.
10 riders raising money for 13 Charities which are:
Clifton All Whites FC, Marie Curie, Aquinas Foundation, Karen Green Foundation, Education for the Children, Billy sharp’s LJS Foundation, Darren Huckerby Trust, Macmillan, Myasthenia Gravis , Beeston hockey club, Rio Ferdinand’s Foundation and The Broad Appeal.
I’m the club manager for our local none league football club Clifton All Whites which is located in Clifton, Nottingham and is one of the most famous clubs located in the county turning out players such as Jermaine Jenas, Darren Huckerby, Michael Johnson and Gary Birtles to name a few, a full list of players can be found on our Wiki Page located HERE.
For the past three years we have done bike rides which were around 90 miles each which raises a bit of money for our self funded club, however this year our club is celebrating its 50th year since it was founded back in 1963 by Dick Lambert, so we needed to come up with something special this time around.
Clifton All Whites will be having a summer of fun next July to celebrate our 50th, we will be having a number of fun days which will see our past players return for a visit and joining in the celebrations, we are also hosting the Nottingham Forest Legends led by Mark Crossley for an exhibition game at our ground.
We needed to come up with something big this time around and one of the team managers said “how about we cycle back from Paris”, its now stuck and we are now planning the trip for next July 8th through to the 13th. As we are doing such a big ride this time we are going to raise money for other causes as well as our own, these can be found on the Sponsors Page.
